HAJAR NADI TAHIRI

Clinical psychologist, graduate of “Université Libre de Bruxelles”, trained in psychopathology and clinical psychology, I have always been passionate about the study and understanding of psychic functioning and human behavior, thoughts and feelings.

During my university career, I made the choice to do an ethnopsychological orientation internship in Senegal and an internship in systemic and family therapy.

Since obtaining my master 2, I continue to train myself continuously by my daily readings as well as by continuing education on various themes allowing me to enrich my toolbox and my methods of accompaniment.

In my opinion, understanding the individual requires combining psychological and socio-cultural aspects. The use of the ethnopsychological approach in addition to traditional therapeutic approaches is relevant in a society where the population is led to migrate, change regions and mix, but also to work on identity issues and better understand symptoms whose interpretation and support may vary by region of the world; from one culture to another.

My areas of interest and reading are diverse. I am particularly interested in work on resilience and traumas, the difference between so-called “simple” traumas and so-called “complex” traumas, the impact of the latter on the person as an individual and in the interactions to others (family, couple, work, etc.) as well as the transgenerational transmission of certain traumas and unspoken suffering.

Eager for knowledge and convinced that there are many support methods on the path to introspection and resilience, I also trained in Ericksonian hypnosis, which, in my opinion, is a valuable tool for dealing with many difficulties, reclaiming its history in a positive way and move forward serenely on a daily basis.

My approach is intended to be integrative and humanistic with the aim of understanding the patient during the therapeutic process and accompanying him in a progressive journey towards a better knowledge of himself and his resources in order to better overcome the difficulties encountered.

My values

Benevolence – Empathy – Listening – Open-mindedness – Sensitivity – Respect – Calm – Discretion
